Healing the natural way

I have been dealing with some back issues I have no idea what happened, but it was like my back is disconnected from my rear end.  I really could feel myself getting angry and discouraged from this.  It doesn’t help when you are living with stress either.  The way to health is the whole person approach.  The mind the body and the spirit all having to be taken care of at the same time.

Why is it we do not see this kind of practice with our general practitioners? At no time have I ever heard asked the question how are you doing today, when I go into my doctor’s office. How are things on the home front, what has been going on in your life right now? Your hairdresser asks you more about your experience than your own doctor.   How much could a doctor improve your health if he or she were to genuinely care about what you have happening in your life at that moment?

I am dealing with some pretty severe complications when it comes to the mind the body, yet I have been really working on my spiritual side. I know that is one of the reasons I have not sub-come to the depression, I was really close through about two months ago,  I felt the dark side of me. It had me really worried, I have suffered from depression all my life, and here it was showing up. I had no idea what to do, but I started to talk and express myself.  I began to see signs of sickness, and when I looked closer into what was happening to my back, I knew I had a problem.  I have Lyme disease it affects so much of my body.  I have days where I do perfect others not so well.

I looked at what was happening in my life at this time.  I have been shunned by my daughter again and lost touch with my granddaughter because of this, and my mother is dying from Alzheimer’s.  It can become a really colossal feat to transverse through those emotions every day, I thought I was doing well, looking more in-depth I was not.   I had no idea how these stresses were causing me issues mentally and physically. I try to be positive and do most days, but subconsciously I was not allowing myself to mourn my losses.

Not only do I have my baggage to carry through my days but I have my husband and kids as well.  We all care, and we have times when we want to help them as well.  It is human to help at the very least be sympathetic.  Like going through a windstorm these little things, we go through all day long do have a way of clinging on to our energies.  When we allow time to check in with ourselves, we recognize those feeling /energies to come to our mind and heal the heart and then we can allow them to move on.  I was not letting these thoughts to come to my mind or my spirit. This caused inflammation in my body and then prompted me the back pain. My Lyme took the upper hand, and it went on a spreading spree.

I need to be present with my body, heart, and mind.  I have to be vigilant and keep loving and caring for myself at all times.  When we disconnect with ourselves that is when illness can creep in.  Our world is on the cusp of this reality, our society is finding that disease is not a medical issue it is a holistic issue. Just the other day I was learning of how Lyme can cause problems in the hip joints causing severe pain and even MS like symptoms. I think of Lyme as worse than Cancer at times.  They both are so destructive, and both are being treated entirely wrong.

How did I help myself?  I got online and started to do research after research on pain assisting herbs too.  I also wanted a blend that would help balance me hormonally as well as emotionally.  I know there is no one herb wonder cure.  It saddens me to see that cannabis is being touted as such the plant.  As a Herbalist, I have been taught that the synergetic approach with herbs is the best medicine.  Synergy is the working of many herbs together.  Their energies work well with more than one herb.  It is super easy for even a Holistic Practitioner to want to find a one herb wonder.  It is also not going to ever happen!

I went back to the drawing board and went for my personal pain as well as an antidepressant. Kava kava, I know there are some out there that do not feel this herb is as good as cannabis but keep an open mind.  I was on cannabis, but it was not touching my pain.  I believe in CBD only, I do not and have not seen where there is any medicinal value in THC.  I am very allergic to THC, so I know that it will only cause me more complications.  I am seeing folks that use THC only, having more difficulties than good results. Time will tell if it is the CBD or the THC that is the real medicine in the cannabis plant.  My money is on the CBD only!

I got online and went to my favorite distributor for Kava kava, they had a really promising blend, and so I ordered it. I was so amazed at how it helped my mind, my depression, anxiety levels as well as all over general pain.

All this in this one little capsule of Kava kava blend.  I will include the site that makes this combination.  I have used their store for many years, and I have found Kava kava has been a stalwart helper in my recovery from benzodiazepine protracted withdrawals.  I also added Hydrosol silver, CBD oil, food grade essential oils, like frankincense, orange, and other essential oils that I defuse.  I am taking a menopause blend of herbs…spearmint, motherwort, blessed thistle, sage.  I love rooibos tea with a chia mixture of herbs.  I drink mushroom tea, eat whole organic veggies as well as fruits, grass-fed beef, chicken and pork.  I do not eat at fast restaurants!  I have cut my sugar down and am in a light exercise program.

It may seem very daunting, but you can do this.  It takes time to get well, it takes work on your part.   I have had over 9 years of working with herbs, lots of schooling and hours of researching these herbs and how to blend them. This is my passion.  I do make my own herbal blends, but I do not sell them, I can, but I love to find these small organic stores that have put love and time in their bottle of health, as I call them.  I love that others do make these blends and I am so excited that I can use them. We need each other.  I like to research and try out different products from these small organic stores, they are out there if you take the time to look for them.  I believe that our energies bring us the healing we are looking for, but we have to be looking. There are tinctures and wildcrafting I do as well, but I love being a teacher.

To finish my tale, I have seen remarkable recovery from these beautiful organic blends. I am allowing myself to express my anger, sorrows, and frustrations that I have to deal with.  I am taking more time to seek out nature and not pushing myself.  I am so happy that I went back to the drawing board and looked into my old favorites of herbs.  I see big-time recovery here as well as some awe-inspiring side effects.   I love good side effects.

I also found as I was doing my research about oxygen therapy. It’s crazy how pollution, pesticides, stress,  bad foods and fluorinated waters,  have us all oxygen deprived. Our blood has become so deoxygenated that we can not fight off the germs or cancers that are taking over our bodies, and that is why we see colds, viruses, diseases and other illness taking over.   I found a site that sells ozone generators and have one on the way.

I will write a blog on how ozone works and what it does for me.

Until later, remember you can heal your mind, body, and spirit!
